Collaborative Construct
Flagg

For a couple of years now Peak District Artisans have been running a collaboration project where artists of different disciplines work together to create works which combine their skills.
In 2024 I worked with Natasha Braithewaite, adding stitch embelishment to her cyanotypes on fabric, having also added stitch to my own gel prints. A natural extension was to look into embellishing lino prints.

Katherine Rhodes and I share a passion for dry stone walls and whilst exhibiting together a the PDA Winter Art Fair we hatched a plan for a collaboration inspired by one of my own photographs of a mossy wall in Flagg.
Katherine worked on a reduction lino print which she printed onto both fabric and paper. After passing the fabric print to me for the addition of stitched moss and lichens she continued with further reduction printing to produce her own interpretation, Habitat.
Both completed works were exhibited at the PDA Collaboration Showcase Exhibition in Sheffield, October 2025.
