The Buxton Spa Prize is a semi en plein air competition held annually in Buxton. Competing artists are allocated a location (or in recent years have been free to choose their own favourite spot) in or around Buxton. Work must be started on location but may be completed in the studio. Entries are displayed in the Green Man Gallery during July
My first entry in 2018 was Emanation depicting the Pump Room (allocated location) and St Ann’s Well
My second entry in 2019 was Cupola, depicting the octagon roof in Pavilion Gardens
